Event Description

Wasco County Historical Society invites the public to its second program of the summer Saturday, July 6th, with Karl Vercouteren, author and historian, as he shares his work that went into publishing "All Together The Dalles" and more recently, "All Together The Dalles Too".  The July 6th program is 11:00 a.m. in the backyard of the Moody/Rorick House, 300 W. 13th St., The Dalles.  Free event; tour of the Moody/Rorick House to follow the presentation.

Vercouteren, well known as a pastor, retired since 2008, of the United Church of Christ, Congregational, can trace his interests in history to at least his collegiate days where he majored in history at Lakeland University. Having moved to The Dalles in 1977, his interests led to the Original Wasco CourtHouse History Forums, to the The Dalles MuralFest, and to his well-researched publications.  Copies of his books will be available for purchase.
