Columbia River Indian Autumn returns to the Columbia Gorge Discovery Center & Museum, November 2, 2024, from 10am - 4pm. Admission is free. Grilled Salmon Luncheon is available for $20, served from 11:30am -1pm.
This day of celebration of regional Native American culture and traditions begins at 10am with a ceremonial blessing in the Museum’s beautiful River Gallery. Throughout the day there will be traditional arts and crafts demonstrations, music and dance performances, storytelling and much more. Artisan vendors will sell their work. It is advised to bring cash for your purchases.
At midday a salmon luncheon will be available for $20 per person. The locally caught salmon is provided and grilled right outside the museum by Salmon King Fisheries, a local Native American-owned and operated business. The full menu will include freshly roasted winter vegetables, rice pilaf and dinner rolls. Iced tea and water will also be included.
The Columbia Gorge Discovery Center & Museum created this event to honor and thank our local Native American community for their historic and on-going contributions to the thriving culture, economy and stewardship of the mid-Columbia River Gorge.
