Dear Community Partners,
Due to extremely cold temperatures in the forecast for next week, Mid-Columbia Community Action Council (MCCAC) had made the decision to activate Emergency Shelter at The Gloria Center at 2505 W 7th St in The Dalles.
The Emergency Shelter will open next Monday, Feb.10 at 4PM and will be open 24 hours a day while it is activated. Emergency Shelter operations will be led by MCCAC staff and supported by the community volunteers. Support provided will include warm shelter, bedding and clothing items, food, water, hygiene and first aid items, and connections to community resources.

For more information about other services including supply bundles and transportation, visit the Severe Weather Resources safe of our website. in addition to Emergency Shelter at The Gloria Center, MCCAC also operates The Annex and The Hood River Warming Shelter.

Community members interested in volunteering with MCCAC or donating needed supplies can reach out to Miriam Starrett, Community Engagement Coordinator - mstarrett@mccac.com If you are already a volunteer with MCCAC, Miriam will be reaching out to share opportunities to support Emergency Shelter operations next week.
