Join us for our next volunteer workshop event at the National Neon Sign Museum, Saturday, February 22nd from 9am to 11am.

As the Museum prepares to open our lower-level galleries, workshop space, and operational neon plant, we are excited about the opportunities of having live carousel restorations available for public viewing.

We will be joined by C. W. Parker Carousel expert Barbara Fahs Charles for a virtual presentation at 9am. She will highlight significant historical background on the Jantzen Beach Carousel.

This will be followed by a Color Rendering presentation at 9:30 for our "12 Months of Horses" campaign.

Topics we will be discussing include the following:

  1. The incredible background of carousel legend and enthusiast Barbara Fahs Charles 

  2. Showcasing a sample of horse renderings in new colorized format (Theater)

  3. Tour of the Argon Center workshop

  4. Team Breakout: Preparing for the 12 Months of Horses

  5. Educational Aspects, Tours, Days for Volunteer Craftsman/women

  6. Fundraising, and Social Media/PR Awareness.
