Event Description
THE GORGE — Columbia Gorge CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates), in partnership with Adventist Health Columbia Gorge Foundation, announces the return of its annual Playhouse Raffle, this year featuring a beautifully crafted, custom-built playhouse designed and constructed by students at Hood River Valley High School (HRVHS).
The playhouse valued at $6,000 is more than just a fun prize — it’s a powerful symbol of what happens when education, creativity, and community come together for a greater cause. Students in Michael Becker’s Advanced Wood and Construction class led the design and build process from start to finish. Working in teams, students first created small Styrofoam models. After careful consideration, one standout design was selected and brought to life as this year’s playhouse.

Columbia Gorge CASA Playhouse Raffle

Columbia Gorge CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates) is excited to announce a raffle for a one-of-a-kind playhouse, valued at $6,000, with proceeds benefiting CASA’s advocacy efforts for abused and neglected children in Hood River, Wasco, and Sherman Counties. As a local 501(c)(3) nonprofit, Columbia Gorge CASA supports the well-being of children in foster care through the dedication of trained volunteers.
This year’s playhouse was built by the advanced wood and construction class at Hood River Valley High School, with materials generously donated by Tum-A-Lum!
This unique playhouse could make a wonderful addition to your yard and provide endless memories for your children or grandchildren. Don't need a playhouse? You can designate your potential win to a family that would benefit from it.
150 Hardcopy Tickets Available:
$20 for 1 ticket, or 3 for $50
400 Online Tickets Available:
There is an additional processing fee for tickets sold online.
* 100 single tickets for $20
* 100 bundles of 3 tickets for $50
Hardcopy tickets are available for purchase at Columbia Gorge CASA (1308 12th St., Hood River, Oregon 97031).
The winning ticket will be drawn on August 29th at 6 PM at Tierra De Lobos Winery (201 Osprey Ln W, The Dalles). The drawing will be streamed live on CASA's Instagram page. The winner does not need to be present to win. CASA will notify the winner directly.
