Calling all readers!
Designed for students in 1st–3rd grade, this hands-on class invites young readers to explore the magical world of children’s author and illustrator Leo Lionni. We’ll read several of his books, dive into the themes and stories, and study his distinctive artistic style. Students will then create their own artwork using Lionni’s approach as inspiration, making a colorful decoupage collage with watercolor and torn paper. A perfect blend of storytelling and creativity for budding artists!
About the instructor:
Emily Bunch is a Librarian with over 10 years experience teaching in elementary libraries. She loves exploring literature with children, and using books to spark their own creativity.
