Join us for Community Affairs this week as we welcome Glenis Schreffler, leader of the Community Backpack Program, an essential local initiative supporting food-insecure students right here in our community.

Founded to ensure children have access to meals over the weekend when school resources are unavailable, the Community Backpack Program provides weekend food supplies to students identified as needing additional support — currently serving over 150 children each week.

Glenis will share an update on the program’s impact, how the community helps make this work possible, and ways individuals and businesses can support local families through simple acts of care and collaboration.


Community Affairs is your opportunity to stay informed, connect with meaningful local initiatives, and learn how we can collectively strengthen our community.
