Cosmic Frequencies: Music, Science, and Gravity! 🌌🎶

Join an exciting evening where space science meets live music at the Columbia Gorge Discovery Center on Friday, March 13. Best of all — it’s free!

What’s happening:

  • 6:00 PM – Doors Open
    Grab a glass of local wine or beer and enjoy live music from the local band Tunnel No. 3.

  • 7:00 PM – Theater Presentation
    Hear from LIGO scientist Amber Strunk as she explores 10 years of gravitational wave discoveries, including the cosmic ripples created by colliding black holes and neutron stars.

     

Why it’s cool:
LIGO is one of the few observatories in the world that can detect gravitational waves from massive cosmic events, helping scientists listen to the universe in a whole new way.
