The Dalles School District Archive Museum
About The Museum
Honoring both the old and new school districts of The Dalles, Oregon.
The museum’s collection features items that include yearbooks dating back to 1911, Booster Girls memorabilia
from 1924-1974, letterman’s jackets, class rings, trophies, uniforms from sports and music, as well as countless photos.
The museum is run by volunteers, with archiving, album making and trophy refurbishing made possible by donations. The museum sees approximately 280 visitors each year between May (Pioneer Weekend) and the end of September. more info...

Mosier Fest is a family, friendly art and music event which includes food and beverages on June 28 from noon to 8 PM. Event is free and occurs at Mosier school. Also includes raffle and silent auction. more info...
PORCHELLO is an ensemble of 3 cellos and an upright bass, led by Dieter Ratzlaf (principal cellist for the Vancouver Symphony). The group plays a collection of classical and modern/popular songs arranged for cello. An eclectic collection of music sure to entertain!
The show is at the historic St Paul’s Chapel, 601 Union St, in downtown The Dalles, OR. An intimate setting in an 1850 chapel of wooden walls, creates wonderful, warm sound.
Show starts at 2pm, Sunday June 29. Doors open at 1pm. Tickets can be purchased on line at the link below ($21 includes a $1 service fee). Tickets will be available at the door for those that cannot use the ticketing website ($20). 20% of all ticket sales will go to a contribution to the chapel. more info...
The Dalles, Oregon Young artists from the Youth Empowerment Shelter in The Dalles have spent the past year pouring their creativity into a special art program. Now, their efforts will be showcased in a public exhibition and a reception on June 13th 5-7pm at Yvonne’s Art Studio in The Dalles–. The artwork will then be permanently installed at Safespace in Hood River.
YES is a local nonprofit that offers emergency shelter and support to youth in crisis, ages 11 to 17. Located right here in The Dalles, YES provides a safe and stable environment for youth to regroup, heal, and reconnect with caring adults. In addition to housing and case management, YES supports youth through enriching programs that build confidence, resilience, and community. more info...

Welcome to The Premier Small Town Big Fourth Experience!
Established in 2014, this all-day celebration of independence has become a beloved tradition, offering a jam-packed day of festivities for the entire community. From the exhilarating Rocket Run & Community Breakfast, to the spectacular Hometown USA Parade and Fireworks display lighting up the beautiful Columbia River Gorge, Fort Dalles Fourth promises something for everyone from dawn 'til dusk.

CRUISE THE GORGE IS ON! AUGUST 8-10, 2025
Kicking off with the “Neon Cruise” Friday evening, downtown The Dalles. It’s an “open” cruise, just like back in the day, so just show up and start showing off (NO burnouts however). It starts around 7pm and runs until 9:45. This is the favorite part of the weekend for many of the locals, and the sidewalks up and down 2nd and 3rd streets fill up with appreciative and enthusiastic spectators. Several downtown businesses will be having special events during the cruise. You can also pre-register for the Saturday show at Burgerville on 3rd St. between 4 and 7 pm.
Then Saturday brings the “Show in the Shade” on the grass in beautiful SOROSIS PARK, 300E Scenic Dr. Registration opens at 9am, judging until 1pm, and the Parade of Champions awards ceremony beginning at 2pm. Goodie bags and dash plaques to the 1st 250 vehicles. $20 pre-entry. $25 after July 31. 40+ awards, food and specialty vendors, oldies music and plenty of raffle prizes, plus Dennis Gage will be filming an episode for “My Classic Car” TV!
Then Saturday evening features the Eagles/Elks Cruise Nite from 5 to 7pm at the lodge, 2006 W 7th, The Dalles.
Finally, if you want one more chance to trophy, there’s the Dufur Classic Car Show, on Sunday in the Dufur Community Park, just 13 miles South of The Dalles, starting at 9am.

Tickets are $35 and includes small bites, commemorative glass, wine bag and 10+ different tastings from local wineries including Jacob William, Analemma, Willow Wine Cellars, Idiot's Grace, 15 Mile Winery, Syncline, Domaine Poullion, AniChe, Lagniappe, Nueva Aventura, Tierra de Lobos and more.
