The Dalles Farmers Market
March 30 at 10:00 AM
·
ð¿ What’s In Season in The Dalles and the Columbia River Gorge
One of the best parts of shopping at a farmers market is experiencing what’s truly in season right here in The Dalles and across the Gorge.
While grocery stores make it possible to find almost anything year-round, there’s something special about eating with the seasons. Produce that’s grown locally and harvested at the right time simply tastes better—more flavor, more nutrients, and a deeper connection to the land around us.
Right now in the Columbia River Gorge, you’ll start to see:
𥬠Early greens like lettuce, spinach
ð± Fresh herbs like chives, parsley, and cilantro
ð¥ Spring roots like radishes and young carrots
ð Early berries beginning to make an appearance
ð¸ Edible flowers and specialty greens
As the season continues, the market will naturally shift—bringing new flavors, colors, and abundance each week.
Join us Saturdays in June-October to get what’s fresh, and in season, locally!
Shopping locally means:
• Better flavor (picked at peak ripeness)
• Supporting local farmers and small businesses
• Eating in rhythm with the land and seasons
Next time you’re at the market, try picking up something that’s in season—you might discover a new favorite.
ð¿ Taste the Gorge, one season at a time.
