The Northwest Cherry Festival is just around the corner and we are calling on our business community to help us get The Dalles ready for the occasion. This year's theme is "Cherry Land"!

The Cherry Trail was created to help support and bring commerce into our existing businesses (eateries, breweries, wineries, retail, and attractions) during the Northwest Cherry Festival. We hope that you will offer some type of special at your location during the festival. It can be something to eat, drink, purchase, a sale, a special discount if they say they doing the Cherry Trail, and so on! Get Creative! Our wonderful sponsor, NW Natural, made it possible for you to sign up for FREE!!!!!

Reimagining Tourism: A Video Guide to Using Goosechase (and so much more like Trails, Contests, Treasure Hunts, a downtown event like First Friday, and MORE)

Are you a local business hoping to get festival goers into your business Cherry Festival weekend? The Cherry Trail is the perfect way to encourage guests to visit you. The Dalles Chamber is creating a Cherry Trail App that asks the participant to take a selfie with the special at your location, which we hope encourages all to SHOP and participate at each location. The trail will list each location will include specials for all the participating businesses. Your special can be whatever you dream up. You may offer 10% off red items in your store, a drink special, or a cherry-themed item. Participants will have to upload a selfie of them and the special to have that stop qualify for points (NO asking staff to stamp a passport at an already busy time). If guests upload 65% or more of the total stops on the Trail or more they can submit on the app to be included in the drawing to win the grand prize. The gift basket will be  full of local treasures. We will be creating a postcard that will have a QR code to the app and FUN. We will be printing this postcard for distribution to all businesses, and it will also have the QR code to the Digital Official Northwest Cherry Festival Guide.
