The Northwest Cherry Festival is just around the corner and we are calling on our business community to help us get The Dalles ready for the occasion. This year's theme is "Cherry Land"! Think Candy Land game :), lets transform our community into one big fun Cherry Land Game with the Window Decorating Contest for the 2025 Northwest Cherry Festival ... Remember there are CASH PRIZES for the most voted for. 1st, 2nd, and 3rd places. WE hope you will help us create a FAMILY FUN Community for the entire weekend. To enter is FREE thanks to our wonderful sponsor Cascade Square Merchants. 

Window Decorating Contest

Decorate your storefronts in the "Cherry Land" theme by Monday, April 21st at 4 PM. Remember only exterior decorations are judged. All entries will be given a number. This number must be visible to the public from the street. Judging will be done by community members with our new app (they will be directed on each Window Entry Display Number with a QR Code. People will cast their votes for their favorite displays from Wednesday, April 23rd through Saturday, April 26th. The winner will be announced on Sunday, April 27th on the Route 30 Bottles & Brews Entertainment Stage. 

This is FREE for any and all businesses to sign up!!!

Contest Rules:
1. Participation is open to all businesses within the city limits of The Dalles.
2. Entry Applications must be received no later than 4 PM on Tuesday, April 18th, 2025
3. Contest is for exterior decorations only, including but not limited to decorations in windows that are visible from the exterior. Judging will be done from outside the businesses only.
4. Judging will be based on “window appeal” as viewed from the outside only.
5. Participants agree to have one or more photos of their decorated business exterior posted on The Dalles Chamber’s website, and/or published in all or any of The Dalles Chamber media outlets. Participant agrees there will be no compensation of any kind for said posting or publication.
6. Please have windows decorated by April 21st!
7. After pictures are taken VOTING will be from Wednesday, April 23rd through Saturday, April 26th on NorthwestCherryFestival.com
8. An Entry Number Card will be provided to each participant. This card must be in a conspicuous place where it can be seen by the public from the street.This will also have a QR code in which people can scan and vote for their favorite window!
9. There will be 3 winners:
· 1st Prize receives $300 cash, Banner Ad for 1 year on TheDallesChamber.com and ExploreTheDalles.com, also 2 free Eblast Sponsor Ad (value of $2,700)
· 2nd Prize receives $150 cash, Banner Ad for 6 months on TheDallesChamber.com and ExploreTheDalles.com, also 1 free Eblast Sponsor Ad (value of $1,300)
· 3rd Prize receives $75 cash, Banner Ad for 3 months on TheDallesChamber.com and ExploreTheDalles.com, also 1 free Eblast Sponsor Ad (value of $700)
10. Winners will be announced Sunday, April 27th on the Route 30 Bottles & Brews Entertainment Stage.
