As with the previous movie night, this event is a fund raiser for CW families, with any excess donations going to the Food Bank. Bring your non-perishables to donate!
All cash and food donations will be directly used to fill food boxes to send home with families during the two weeks of winter break.
The Columbia Center for the Arts in Hood River is delighted to present a holiday play based on the beloved children’s book series, Junie B. Jones.
"Junie B. Jones, First-Grader, is super-excited about the upcoming Holiday Sing-Along and Secret Santa gift exchange at her school. Too bad tattletale May keeps ruining all of Junie B.'s fun. So when Junie B. draws May's name for Secret Santa, she comes up with the perfect plan to teach her nemesis a lesson! But will the Christmas spirit of peace and goodwill interfere before she can give you-know-who what she deserves? A hilarious and endearing tale based on the best-selling book series by Barbara Park."

The Voci Community Choir, a Columbia Gorge Orchestra Association vocal ensemble, is delighted to announce their upcoming winter concert, On This Shining Night. This luminous and heartfelt program explores the beauty, warmth, and hope found in light during the darkest months of the year. Audiences will be treated to an evening of radiant harmonies, stirring contemporary works, and cherished seasonal favorites that celebrate the power of illumination—both literal and metaphorical.
Under the artistic direction of Dan Kenealy, Voci has become known for expressive performances and thoughtful, diverse programming. On This Shining Night draws its inspiration from Morten Lauridsen’s beloved setting of the James Agee poem, a centerpiece of the program that reflects on compassion, wonder, and the quiet brilliance present in ordinary moments. The concert invites listeners on a reflective journey shaped by serenity, warmth, and shared human experience.
The program will include:
Sure on This Shining Night by Morten Lauridsen — the emotional and thematic heart of the concert
Glow by Eric Whitacre — a shimmering contemporary favorite composed for the World of Color Honor Choir
A cappella and accompanied works exploring themes of light, peace, and winter reflection
Contemporary selections composed and/or arranged by local composers Duncan Krummel and Linda Taylor
Audience singalong opportunities, continuing Voci’s cherished community tradition
In addition to its central works, On This Shining Night showcases music that captures the many facets of winter: the stillness of quiet evenings, the glow of shared celebration, and the guiding light we offer one another. From tender, introspective pieces to those filled with warmth and wonder, the program reflects both the softness and brilliance of the season.
Director Kenealy notes, “This concert shines from within. Each piece offers its own perspective on light, and together they create an atmosphere of warmth and connection. In a time of year when we often seek comfort and community, this program is an invitation to pause, reflect, and experience beauty together.”
Audiences of all ages are invited to join Voci for an unforgettable evening of choral artistry, seasonal glow, and communal joy.
Tickets for On This Shining Night can be purchased at gorgeorchestra.org or at the venue on the day of the performance. Advance purchases are recommended. CGOA offers $5 tickets for SNAP and QUEST cardholders and free admission for children and students with ID. Regular ticket prices are $25, and $20 for CGOA members.
For more information about Voci, this concert, and other upcoming CGOA performances, please visit gorgeorchestra.org.
Don’t miss the chance to experience a luminous evening of music as Voci celebrates the wonder, warmth, and radiance of winter in On This Shining Night.
